20mm coloured playground rubber chippings.
These are 20mm rubber chips produced from recycling automotive tyres that are coated in water based paint to make attractive safe playground surfacing.
A long lasting product and a great alternative to wood bark. Rubber playground chippings are a safe surface that absorbs the shock of children’s falls better than most materials on the market today.
Here are the essential ingredients we use to make Terraflex rubber chippings.
- Take high quality recycled car tyres.
- Shred each one carefully into evenly-sized pieces at our processing plant.
- Sieve, sort and magnetise every piece to remove unwanted wire and fabric.
- Mix thoroughly with one of our attractive and non-toxic colouring agents - brown, blue, green, purple, slate and terracotta.
- Bake at a moderate heat for approximately 20 minutes.
This produces an economical and versatile synthetic surface for children’s play arenas, manufactured to strictly controlled quality standards, offering enhanced levels of safety, hygiene and longevity.
We also offer a takeback service. This allows for the collection and re-processing of used material once the user no longer requires the product.

10mm equestrian surfacing
These are small chips of rubber that is specifically designed to replace sand or wood chippings in horse arenas, it is more durable, lighter has excellent drainage and remains frost resistant all qualities that are sought after in such applications.

These are rings derived from the sidewalls of lorry tyres used as weights to seal the membrane on grass silage pits
Pas 107 Engineering bales.
These are baled tyres that may be used in a variety of applications, for example sound barriers used in motorway construction, Thermal insulation material, Soil/landscape elevation, Quick construction purposes, Embankment Repair, Rifle Ranges, Gabions, to name but a few uses.
50mm Tyre Derived fuel chippings.
These are chips of tyres that are used as a primary or secondary fuel in various applications including cement production.
Rubber mesh grades.
We can produce various grades of mesh crumb rubber for a variety of recycling applications. The different sizes of mesh Rubber can be used in tiles, tile adhesives, asphalt, sports surfaces, carpet underlay, noise and vibration insulation, playgrounds and matting. Mesh grade Rubber powder is also used in new tyres, extruded rubber products, commercial flooring, traffic control products and more.
